The Walter Mangold Trust
Fund commenced in 2006 and began to implement its objects in
2007.
From 2007 to 2011,
fifty-two Study Abroad Scholarships
totalling
$310,600 were made to Victorian tertiary language
students, who travelled on exchange to language programs at
universities in Spain, Chile, Mexico, Columbia, Japan, Indonesia
and China.
From 2006-2011, a total of
$81,736 was granted to the Australian Institute of International Affairs,
Victoria to fund
sixteen discrete projects.
Since 2007, three
students from Mexico,
Columbia and China; two students from Indonesia; and thirty-two
students from Timor Leste have received scholarships for the
Study In
Australia program, totalling over
$735,000.
In this period, four
Visiting
Fellows to The University of Melbourne
have been
funded to a total amount of $112,500.
